My Super Epic Build

Easy Blog Photo
This is a awesome build because it looks soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool. At the back of it (with the long wheels) it has a little drone that can be unattached and it can fly around. It can also split into three pieces. The top piece has rapid fire! The middle piece has charge attack! Now comes the last piece. The last piece can fly around attacking from the skys! Written by Flynn

Our Science Experiment

We set out 7 cups and then we put water in every second cup. We put red, yellow, or blue food coloring into the water filled cups. Then we folded up 6 paper towels and put them into the cups. One end went in one cup and the other end went in the cup next door. We waited for three hours and this is what happened. The water moved into the empty cups through the paper towels and made different colors. We started with red, yellow and blue. We made orange, purple and green.

When we got back after leaving the water and paper towels in the cups over the weekend - look what had happened!  All the cups had an equal amount of water.  Plus our yellow water had turned orange, our green water was very green and our purple water was really purple.

Watch Our Pepeha

Please visit our "Learning Te Reo Maori" page to hear all of the students Pepeha.  A Pepeha is the way in which you introduce yourself in Maori.  Apart from learning their Pepeha, the students learnt a lot recording them for you.  This included; how to take a photo, how important it is to speak loud and clear,  as well as how to use the Explain Everything App on our IPads. Balloons Over Waikato

As part of the Balloons Over Waikato Festival, Marian Catholic School invited all the Hamilton East School students to share their visit of a Hot Air Balloon from the Waikato Hot Air Balloon Club.  It fitted in perfectly with Room 9 and 10's swimming lesson at Hamilton Boys' High School on Thursday 17 March.  The whole of Totara Team and Kowhai Team walked around and joined us there.  We were all very patient and well behaved.  In fact we were so well behaved that the Balloon's pilot and crew commented that we were the best behaved schools they have ever visited.

Swimming Lessons at Hamilton Boys' High

Since 3 March, we have been receiving swimming lessons through the Find Your Field of Dreams Trust.  Every Thursday we walk to Hamilton Boys' High with Room 9 and Whaea Georgia for our lessons in their lovely heated swimming complex.  We are so lucky to be having these lessons for free.  Click on the link below to see some photos of us with our amazing swimming instructors.
